This article will feature some things already highlighted in previous articles written by me, the site owner and administrator.  I will try to have it all in one place and also include some new opinion on the Olympics coming up in 2012 since some time has passed since the last articles.

Going into the exhibition games for Team USA in the 2008 Beijing Olympics, here were some of the highlights that I saw and strengths of the team.  Team USA was scoring a lot of points and the team proved early on that many players were capable of leading the team in scoring.  Those exhibition games were mostly blowouts and the games were bearing a striking resemblence to the Dream Team of 1992 with Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, Isiah Thomas and many others.  This year's team is bringing back the running style of play which is creating high scoring outputs for all of the Team's superstars.  The bench was deep as any player on the team can score 20 points a night.  Kobe Bryant, Chris Bosh, Dwayne Wade, and many others, lead the team to their victories.

As we continue on with the memories of past Olympics and look forward to the world championships and the 2012 Olympics, remembering the stars from previous games and collecting their Olympic basketball memorabilia is important.  A basketball card from Michael Jordan, be it an autograph or a rookie or just a regular card of him, is a great item.  One from Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, David Robinson or any other original Dream Team member is also a collectible that is very famous already and should increase in demand over time.  As we look at the current team that just won the Gold Medal, Lebron James, Dwayne Wade, Dwight Howard, Carmelo Anthony and many others were the stars of the team.  Kobe Bryant rookie cards are also a great idea.  All of these would make your Christmas shopping ideas be good ones if you are looking for sports memorabila.  The links below have cards of each specific player for sale currently.  These are being mentioned here because at this site, there are many links to high quality Olympic basketball memorabilia items on Ebay, through Google, and on Amazon upon browsing the listings.

As the Games in London in 2012 draw closer, it will be great to find out who is expected to be on the roster, as well as who will coach the time.  I wonder if Kobe Bryant will be willing to compete yet again, and if he will want to.  There could be other great players who may play this year that were not on the team last year, and there are likely going to be many up and coming players who were not in the running for a team spot before who now will be.  Some of those will be because they were too young in 2008, and some may be just because they are much better players now.  As we look forward to the 2012 Olympic Men's Basketball Team USA and the Olympics, please visit this site often for more sports articles.
